Case summary
Further on the second ground, the court found that the defendant’s servants had committed trespass to the plaintiff’s land and took possession illegally. As such, the plaintiff was held to be entitled to possession. Further, as regards to the award of damages, the court found that the plaintiff was entitled to special damages of 12,000,000/= and 10,000,000/= was awarded as general damages.     The court also made an order for vacant possession of the land.
