Leadership Code Tribunal of Uganda

The Leadership Code Tribunal is a constitutional body, created under Article 234 and 235A of the 1995 Constitution of Uganda as amended and Statutorily established under Section 3 and Section 19A of the Leadership Code Act 2002 as amended.

The Leadership Code Tribunal is charged with the overall function of enforcement of the Leadership Code of Conduct particularly through adjudication of breaches of the Leadership Code of Conduct. The Leadership Code Tribunal in executing its core function is mandated under Section 19B of the Leadership Code (Amendment) Act to receive, examine, adjudicate and determine any breach of the code referred to it by the Inspectorate. All this is premised on the government’s effort to ensuring a clean public service.
